Audio recording of an interview with James ''Pimmy'' McLean, Mallaig, on 18 May 2010. Pimmy discusses changes in fishing methods since the 1960s as Mallaig boats moved from the ring net to the purse net and pair trawl. After the herring ban boats moved to mackerel fishing and prawns. Mallaig prawn fleet consisted of 53 vessels in 2001 but increasing overheads and poor catches have reduced it to under 20 in 2010. Length: 29 mins Fuly transcribed Interviewer: Malcolm Poole
